Since when do you climb?
I have been climbing since 2017.

How did you get into climbing?
Hmm, I don’t remember, I just remember that the first time I didn’t like it at all because it was very difficult for me. 😀 Then I started to set more realistic goals as categories and things went more easily – only forward and up mostly.

What does climbing bring you?
Climbing is as much a social as it is an individual sport for me. As you are with friends and having fun, the next moment you are alone up on the route, concentrated on the max, struggling with your own mental game, forgetting about everything around you.

Climbing brings me physical and mental stability, meets me with positive and cool people and at the same time isolates me when I need it.

How is climbing different from other sports for you?
I practice different sports – climbing, snowboarding, surfing, cycling. It’s important to me that my workout is fun so I can stay consistent. These sports are seasonal, only climbing is not so much affected by the conditions and I can indulge in it all year round.

Climbing, moreover, is a very complex sport. It develops many versatile qualities such as coordination, strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, explosiveness. The training spent in climbing is constructive and fun. This is what makes me stay and be constant.

What is your favorite discipline and why?
I like all kinds of climbing and I try not to get stuck in one direction, but maybe my favorite discipline is lead climbing. There I feel most concentrated and I feel my body and mind in sync.

What would you say to a person entering a climbing gym for the first time?
Stretch your arms, use your legs and keep your body as close to the wall as possible. Be sensible about your safety, because climbing can be a dangerous sport.
